Obituary for KING

CMSGT Curtis F. King, USAF (Ret.) 84, died Monday, June 20, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Greta King; children, Patressa King of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert F. King and wife, Anna of Sandia Park, NM, Diana Alexander and husband, George of San Angelo, TX, Curtis King, Jr., Wayne L. King and wife, Stephanie, all of Albuquerque, NM; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Paula Caster of Crescent City, CA; and nieces, nephews and friends. Curtis is preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Hamer. He was born in Slick, OK, entered the U.S. Army at a young age, and later entered the U.S. Air Force. Curtis served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict, retiring in 1961. He then worked for the Dept. of Defense at Kirtland AFB for 20 years, until his retirement. Curtis was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Memorial Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005, 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM.
