Obituary for SAVARA

Shanta Savara left us at an early age of 38. Born in Portland to Bhim Savara and Lalla Lepeschkin, and died last week in Albuquerque, NM. Shanta grew up in Santa Fe, NM. She received her bachelor's degree in journalism and one year of graduate school at the University of New Mexico. Shanta was a born student enjoying photography and travel. Survivors include her mother, Lalla Lepeschkin, and sister, Lisa Koch, both from Redmond; her brother, Raj Savara, and stepmother, Mary Lou Savara, both from Portland. There will be a service at 4 p.m. on Friday June 10, 2005, at the family residence in Manning. Please call to RSVP, or for directions at 503 324-7365, or 503 701 4338.
