Charles George Bartow "Papa Chuck," born May 10, 1939 in Madison, Wis. passed away June 17, 2005. A graduate of Highland High School, he joined the Marine Corps serving in Okinawa and Vietnam, and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He retired from the IBEW after 20 yrs of service as an electrician. For the past 20 yrs, he worked for ASCG Inc. He enjoyed dancing, golf, fishing, reading, collecting model cars. Loved animals, esp. dogs. Had many friends and loved his wife, children, grandchildren & their pets. All will miss his humor & love. Preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Lucille. Survived by his wife of 33 years, Margie; daughters, Cherise Manning (Rusty), Cheri Hunt (Bart), Sally Pickering (Earl), and Susan File (JD); son, Brad Erekson (Terri); grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, , Shaina, Ereka, Valerie, Natalie, Justin, Kelly, Lindsey and Steven; siblings, Orvis Bartow and Rita Kirkland (Robert); and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Orvis Bartow, Brad Erekson, Rusty Manning, Earl Pickering, JD File and Justin File. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Manning, Steven Erekson, Sean Weadock, Andy Wieland, Chris Kirkland, Shane Bartow, Justin Bartow and Gino Griego.
