Obituary for JAYNES

Orval Allen Jaynes, 82, a resident of New Mexico since 1939, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2005. Orval was born September 21, 1922 the son of Thomas Stalcup and Mary Duncan Jaynes in Linden, TX. He graduated from Cerrillos High School while working in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Orval is a veteran of WWII, discharged as a Master Sergeant in the Eighth Air Force, serving in England, France, and Italy. He was a member of the Historical Society of the Eighth Air Force. Orval was the oldest of eight children. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Queenie, of the family home; two children, Andrew Jaynes and wife Terri of Albuquerque, and Marcia Woolley of Albuquerque; one granddaughter, Michelle Jayne Woolley of Albuquerque; two brothers and four sisters; as well as many other family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark ln., Rio Rancho with Chaplain Dawn Caress of the Presbyterian Hospice Officiating.
