James Reynolds Griffith, 83 and a resident of Rio Rancho and formerly of Lake Havasau, AZ, passed away June 2, 2005, in Albuquerque. An Army veteran, he was also a life member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers and had retired from Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania. Before retiring, he performed telecommunications work as a cable splicer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucie L. Griffith of the family home; his daughters, Marge Hass and her husband John of Rio Rancho and Jackie Hathaway of Channelview, TX; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; his brother, Harry L. Griffith of Ambler, PA; his sister, Joan Schweiger of Reynoldsville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private placement will be in the Rose Garden of Vista Verde Memorial Park.
