Obituary for D'ANDREA

Lt. Col. Natal V. "Dan" D'Andrea, USAF (Ret.) aged 84 of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday morning May 29, 2005 at a local hospital. He was born on April 5, 1921 in New York City, New York to Vincent and Norma (Rizzo) D'Andrea. He married Elizabeth R. Pead on December 4, 1943 in Houston, TX and she preceded him in death on January 2, 1995 after 52 years of marriage. Mr. D'Andrea is survived by his daughter, Noel and her husband Michael Horcasitas of Corrales, NM; his son, Major Jon and his wife Captain Christa D'Andrea of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Hilda Carvella of Florida, Olga Clemente and Robert D'Andrea, both of New Jersey. Mr. D'Andrea was a retiree of the United States Air Force serving from 1943 until his retirement in 1972 where he has since resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served in WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War as a navigator and a meteorologist. He volunteered his passion of Paleontology at the Natural History Museum in Albuquerque; he also held a degree and certification in industrial hygiene and held a position with the state of New Mexico as an OSHA inspector for over ten years.
