Obituary for BOULWARE

Charlene Boulware, also known as "Brownie", age 76, went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2005. Charlene was born on January 17, 1929, in Rushville, Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chas and Eleanor Brown and step-mother, Nettie Brown. Her life began on the family ranch, and her heart never strayed from the love she had for her original home. Charlene was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles L. "Chuck" Boulware; her daughters, Lynne Boulware-Ward (and husband Jim), Lee Stein, and Sherry Anderson (and husband David); five grandchildren, Damon and Jesse Stein, Tristin and Garrett Anderson, and Taryn Ward; and, Charlene's brother, LTG (Ret.) Charles W. Brown (and wife Sherry). Charlene graduated from high school in Lead, South Dakota and then Creighton Nursing School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1950. She had a memorable and distinguished nursing career caring for patients at St. Josephs, Bataan, Presbyterian and Memorial Hospitals. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ambercare Hospice for all the kind service provided to Charlene and family. Charlene had a special love for animals, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Rescue at 4320 C. Ridgecrest Dr. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124. A memorial service will be held on June 4, 2005, 1:00 p.m., at St. Marys Episcopal Church, 1501 Chelwood NE. On July 9, 2005, Charlene will be buried in Rushville, Nebraska.
