Obituary for GRAY

William A. Gray, 86, an Albuquerque resident since 1979, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan Gambrill Gray; sons, Richard of Frankfort, KY and William of Albuquerque; grandson, Jonathan Isaac Gray; and brother, Charles Speed Gray. Also surviving are two nieces, Leigh Estabrook and Susan Stockard; daughter-in-law, Rodelyn; and former daughter-in-law, Jolina Hodgman. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe and Africa during WWII. A graduate of the University of Kentucky in Civil Engineering (B.S.) and the University of Pennsylvania in Architecture (M.A.), for many years he practiced architecture and taught at the University of Kentucky. Mr. Gray was a certified instrument pilot and a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the home of the family on Friday, May 13, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 833 Gibson SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
