Obituary for GURULE

Ramon Gurule, 83, passed away early Sunday morning, May 8, 2005. He was born October 21, 1921, and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. Ramon proudly and honorably served his Country in WWII. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He was also a great woodworking craftsman. Ramon was a kind, loving, generous man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Ramon was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 62 years, Mary G. Gurule. He is survived by his sons, Ramon Gurule, Jr. and wife, Maria P.; and Larry P. Gurule; granddaughter, Lisa Juarros and husband, David; grandsons, Roman Gurule and wife, Rochelle; and Duane Gurule. He has five great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy, Miranda and Alejandro Juarros; Jude Gurule; Xzavier and Gabriel Gurule. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church on Wednesday night. Burial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
