Fay Alice Hoffarth Bixler, born on May 8, 1927, in Raton, NM, died May 6, 2005 at her home in Houston, TX surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her parents, F. L. Hoffarth and Carrie Codlin Hoffarth; brother, F. L. Hoffarth Jr.; and her beloved husband, James R. Bixler, she is survived by her son, James R. Bixler, Jr.; daughter, Linda Bixler McCullough and husband Wayne; granddaughter, Kathleen Phillips and husband Dean; grandsons, Sean McCullough and Craig McCullough; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Boettcher. A Memorial Service is planned on Saturday, May 14, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Emerson Unitarian Church, 1900 Bering Drive, Houston TX 77057. In lieu of flowers, the families requests donations to SET for Health, New Mexico, 500 Copper Ave, Ste 102, Albuquerque, NM 87102; Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe, Houston, TX 77030 or Emerson Unitarian Church Music program, 1900 Bering Drive, Houston, TX 77057. Our thanks to the staff of St. Luke's Hospital 6th floor Cooley Building for the excellent care our mother received, to our friends and most especially to Tim Laurence for his spiritual support and beautiful gift of music in Fay's last hours of life.
