Bennie R. Aragon, age 78, passed away on May 8, 2005. He was born on April 3, 1927 in Belen, NM, lived in California for over 40 years, and moved back to Belen about 10 years ago. He attended The School for the Deaf in Santa Fe in the latter 30s and early 40s. Bennie is preceded in death by his parents, Fermin and Libby Aragon; his brother, Andrew; sister, Kady; brother-in-law, Lou Lucaroni; and sister-in-law, Anthony Aragon. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ruby; brothers and sisters, Eloise Lucaroni, Louie Aragon, Albert Aragon and his wife, Evelyn, Ymelda York and husband, Phil; sister-in-law, Lillian Aragon; and many loving nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St. Belen.
