Obituary for FERRELL

Janet Evelyn Ferrell, 62, passed away at her home in Paradise Hills on Thursday, April 14, 2005. Janet was born July 15, 1942, the daughter of Cecil and Edna Gleason in Raton, NM. Janet attended Eastern New Mexico University, where she met Anthony (Tony) Ferrell. They were married on October 19, 1963. Janet graduated from Southeast Missouri State in 1965, taught school for a short time before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. In 1984 she became a Realtor and joined husband Tony in their real estate business. She thoroughly enjoyed helping her clients, and they enjoyed her. Janet served many years on the board of the Paradise Hills Civic Association, and was an active member of the Sierra Vista Civitan Club, where she held many offices including president, and was a recipient of the Honor Key. Janet will be remembered by all who knew her as kind, loving, caring, and patient. She greeted everyone with her smile. She was indeed a friend to all she met. She will continue to be a role model for her family and will be missed by all her friends. Janet is survived by her mother; her husband, Tony; two sons, Paul and Patrick; their wives, Trish and Patti; grandsons, Dylan and Evan Ferrell; brother, Gary Gleason and wife, Geraldine; uncle Merrill Longwill; sister-and brother-in-law, Tamara and Ron Ury; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special friend, Nelda Duffey. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
