Rafelita Chacon, age 81 and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died at her home on Monday, April 11, 2005 following an illness. Mrs. Chacon is survived by her husband, Pete F. Chacon of Albuquerque; three daughters, Nickie Chacon of La Jara, NM, Mercy Chacon, and Yolanda Chacon; one son, Pete C. Chacon and his wife, Charlotte, all of Albuquerque; one sister, Carlotta Eichwald of Cuba, NM; two brothers, Joe Garcia of Belen, NM and Danny Garcia of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday April 14, 2005 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE with a service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Garcia officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, April 15, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sandia Memory Garden Cemetery.
