Charlotte M. Bassett, 76, a 52-year resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard R. Bassett of Albuquerque; daughters, Cheryl Carter of Austin, TX and Gayle O'Dell of Cypress, CA; grandchildren, Clint Hoover, Amy Balderama, Brandon Carter, Haley Carter and Colten O'Dell; great-granddaughter, Emily Balderama. Charlotte was born in Armington, IL. She attended the University of Illinois in Champagne, IL. In 1952 she moved to Albuquerque and was employed by Sandia Labs. She was a talented musician and taught piano lessons to many children. After the birth of her children she was a loving mother and homemaker for her daughters and husband. She enjoyed their Jemez Mountain cabin and her friends whom she visited with every summer. Services were held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
