Obituary for SORENSEN

Louis Sorensen, who would have been 82 years old in April, has gone home with his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his wife, Vera, and children: Thomas Sorensen, Mary Sorensen Monaghan, Timothy Sorensen; and step-children, Leslie Davis, Barbara Rosensimon, and Sandra Wessgar; and three grandchildren. Louis worked as an engineer for Mountain Bell Telephone for 36 years served in World War II, "The Big One" for four years. Louis' passion was the "Chicago Cubbies" baseball team. After putting up a flag pole, his flag was always flying, weather permitting. Louis had the gentlest blue eyes full of humor. He was a very patient and understanding person who was blessed with a kind heart. He is now at peace after suffering Parkinson's Disease for years. Louis had many friends and will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sunrise Funeral Options 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ambercare Hospice 2403 San Mateo NE Albuquerque, NM 87110 or the Parkinson's Foundation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Aquinas Newman Center 1815 Los Lomas on April 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Andy Pavlok officiating.
