Obituary for PITTI

Joseph Pitti, born in St. Louis, MO to Carmelo and Caterina Pitti, died on March 23, 2005 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Pitti; son, Joseph Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Edith Elser Pitti of Sacramento, CA; grandson, Stephen J. Pitti and wife, Alicia Schmidt Camacho of New Haven, CT; two granddaughters, Gina Marie Pitti and husband, Michael Friedman of Tempe, AZ and Catherine Pitti and fiance, Christian Esquibel of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren, Antonio and Thalia Pitti, and Araceli Friedman-Pitti; brother-in-law, Leo Armijo, wife, Rachael and family of Albuquerque; sister, Annie Muscarella and her family of Sharon, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Jerome and Susan Pitti of St. Louis and their son, Tom and his wife, Sherri. Joseph was a resident of New Mexico since 1942, he worked at Los Alamos during WWII and then at Sandia National Laboratory for 34 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. His family and many friends will forever miss his boundless love, his kindness, his joie de vivre, his generosity, and his humility. A Rosary will be recited in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. Internment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
