Obituary for DESPRES

Irene V. Despres, 74, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past three years, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2005. Irene was born May 8, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Lorretta Claunch Buffi, in Sterling, Idaho. She had been a registered nurse before she retired. Irene was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church; member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and needlepoint. Irene was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents. Irene is survived by her husband, Louis A. Despres of the family home; three children, Brenden J. Despres and wife, Cindy of Washington, DC, Diana Despres of Washburn, ND, and David A. Despres and wife, Sondra of Chile; one sister, Lorraine McNaulty of New York; two brothers, Robert Buffi of Sterling, IN, and Wallace Buffi of American Falls, IN.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1701 Tulip Rd. NE, Rio Rancho with Fr.
