Mike B. Giron went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2005 at the age of 82. He was born on August 23, 1922 in Polvadera, NM. He is preceded in death by his wife, Solome Giron; and his two grandsons, Pete Lopez and Adrian Tapia. Mr. Giron is survived by Paul Benavidez and wife, Rita, George Giron and Johnny Giron and wife, Theresa; daughters, Esther Ebler and husband, Bob, Ernestine Apodaca, Beatrice Neder, Terri Ybarra and husband, Mike, Frances Giron and Nancy Martinez and husband, Luis; companion, Buster; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Mike will be deeply missed by all. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ronald Jaramillo, Anthony Ybarra, Anthony Casias, Joseph Apodaca, Damian Giron and Martin Giron. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Jaramillo, Matthew Apodaca, Jason Giron, Derek Tapia, Luis Martinez, James Garcia, and Leonard Chavez.
