Obituary for SANDOVAL NELSON

Dolores Margaret Sandoval Nelson, age 65 passed away Thursday, March 7, 2005. Dolores was born in Wagon Mound, NM December 28, 1939. She attended Wagon Mound Public Schools and graduated from High School in 1958. During her senior year she was part of the yearbook staff, was class secretary, participated in Girls' state and was also a cheerleader. Thereafter she attended UNM. She married Lorenzo Nelson of Pintada, NM in 1965. She was a fantastic artist and was very creative. Dolores baked goodies and unique cakes for all occasions and sang songs with her beautiful voice while doing so. She was a very patient and understanding person. Dolores was a caring person who gave generously with a loving heart. Dolores was a truly beautiful person inside and out and will be missed by all. Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Filadelfio Sandoval. Survivors include her husband, Larry; her two children, Ben Nelson and wife, Lynn, and daughter, Esther. She has six grandchildren, Victoria, Stephanie, Benjamin, Mariah, Kathleen, and Dominic. Also surviving are her mother, Esther Sandoval; brothers, Leo Sandoval, Tim Sandoval and Angie Markum; sisters, Estella Baker and husband, Don, Cecilia Bailey and husband, Ray, and Margie Sandoval and Fred Gutierrez; as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at San Isidro Church in Corrales, with a Rosary being recited on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests memorial contributions be made to the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, 700 Lomas Blvd, Bldg 2.
