Philip A. Perea, age 44, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; grandparents, Pete and Nora; grandmother, Aurelia Barela; and half brother, Dr. James Perea. Philip is survived by his mother, Margaret Perea; sisters, Cathy Perea, Patricia and husband, Mike Madonia; half brother, Joe Perea; nieces, Reagan Madonia, Kristina Perea, and Helen Perea-Bhasker; special friend, Lisa Lopez. Philip graduated from Albuquerque High School and the University of Albuquerque. He then served in the Army National Guard and later retired from the Veterans Administration. Philip was a member of the DAV and the Elks. He enjoyed fishing and music. A Memorial Service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd., Monday, March 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 2511 Utah NE., ABQ., NM. 87110, to the Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd. NE., ABQ., NM. 87102, or to the charity of your choice.
