Lucy Campos Gutierrez was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 6, 1922. She grew up in the Cimarron and Questa, NM area. She attended Allison-James Middle School in Santa Fe. She attended and graduated from Menaul High School in Albuquerque in 1941. She was married to Conrado P. Gutierrez on November 9, 1941. They raised their four children in Los Alamos, NM. She is preceded in death by Conrado. Lucy was a loving and compassionate mother and friend who loved her Lord. She loved all sports, especially football. She also loved to fish and camp. No one could make better tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, peanut butter cookies, and empanaditas than our mother. As put by her youngest son Robert, "she was the best cooker." Mom, you taught us love, compassion, and patience; we will miss you dearly. She is survived by her companion of 18 years, Paul (Porfirio) Medina; sisters, Delia Padilla and husband, Alvino; Tina Martinez and husband, Adolph; Marcia Fitzner and husband, Don; children, Conrad F. and wife, Dorothy Gutierrez; Robert M. and wife, Tillie Gutierrez; Ruth Aeschliman, Jenny Gutierrez; grandchildren, Derek Gutierrez and wife, Carolyn; Dominic Gutierrez and wife, Crystle; Damian Gutierrez and wife Kristi; Tammi Thornton and husband, Josh; Michael Gutierrez and wife, Lisa; Devin Gutierrez, Steven Aeschliman, Stephanie Aeschliman; great-grandchildren, Teya, Tristan, Tori, Joey, Danielle Gutierrez, Amber Thornton; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Second Presbyterian Church with Reverend Rob Woodruff, officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Chapel Monday, March 21, 2005, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Derek Gutierrez, Dominic Gutierrez, Damian Gutierrez, Michael Gutierrez, Devin Gutierrez, and Steven Aeschliman.
