Mary Ester Valdez Arriola, 68, a resident of Placitas, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Wednesday evening, March 16, 2005. She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Arriola, and parents, Eduardo and Lena Valdez. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Willie Arriola; and children, Lorraine and husband, Richard Chavez, Ray and wife, Mary Lou Arriola, Denie (Viola) and husband, Floyd Jaramillo, Renee Arriola, Enadine and husband, Randy Barnes, Guillermo Arriola; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Adelina and Fermin Baca, Frances Valdez, Lillie and Armando Herrera, Margaret and Andrew Mora, Gloria and Henry Mora; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, March 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Las Huertas Land Grant Cemetery in Placitas. Pall bearers will be Ray Arriola Jr., Gilbert Jaramillo, Richard Chavez Jr., Adrian Arriola, Anthony Jaramillo, and Randy Barnes Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Julian, Andres Alicia, Alexandra, Vicky Arriola, Jennifer, Monica, Kristen Jaramillo, Sandra Chavez, and Crystal Barnes.
