Lorencita Madrid died March 13, 2005 in Albuquerque at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her sons, Florencio Madrid Sr., Ray Madrid, and Herman Madrid; and grandson, Florencio Madrid Jr. She is survived by four sons, Carpio Madrid and wife, Mary of Oklahoma, Tony Madrid of Colorado, Tibo Madrid, and Jackie Madrid, both of Albuquerque; five daughters, Sopie Lucero, Florinda Cortez and Albert, Laura Aragon, Sandy Villagas, and Isabel Madrid, all of Albuquerque; brother, Sam Perea of Albuquerque; sister, Lucy Rascon and husband, Eddie of El Paso, TX; 39 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mrs. Madrid will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at San Ignacio Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Cortez, Aaron Cortez, Angelo Cortez, Roger Lucero, Ronald Lucero, Rick Madrid, and Rick Madrid Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Anthony Cortez.
