Mary Lou Griffith, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday, March 7, 2005, at her home. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Amos, and her brother, Lester Ruffner. Mary Lou Ruffner was born on March 14, 1913, in Prescott, AZ; after graduation she took a business course in Chicago, returned to Prescott where she was employed in Justice Court, moved to Clarkdale, AZ where she was payroll and utilities manager for many years for the United Verde Mining Company. She is survived by her nephew, George Ruffner and his wife, Eunice; nieces, Rebecca and Melissa; eight grand-nieces and -nephews, four great-grand-nieces and -nephews; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ruffner; and her beloved cat, Le Peep. Memorial Services will be held Friday, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, AZ, in the grave of her infant daughter.
