Tom Gonzales passed away on February 27, 2005. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas Gonzales and Elizar Armijo; and brother, Gilbert Gonzales. Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Leyba - Gonzales; and son, Luis Gonzales and companion, Rebecca Heart; daughter, Joanne Gonzales and companion, Brian Muller; brother, Raymond Gonzales and companion, Mary Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales and wife, Maxine, Ruben Gonzales and wife, Tina, all of Albuquerque and brother Manuel Gonzales and wife, Mary of Mesa, AZ; and sister, Elista Dewyenie and husband, Starley of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Trinity Gonzales. Tom was a veteran of the Korean war where he served as a medic for Love Co of the 5th Regt. Combat team. He was awarded the Bronze Star for valor and the combat infantry and medic badge. Tom had a world of adventures and on his journey he made foot prints on many individual hearts. Tom will be greatly missed but forever remembered. The Gonzales family truly appreciates the Rt's & the ICU nurses for all their compassion. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe Funeral Options, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery.
