Obituary for NESSLAGE

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday March 06, 2005

Hannah Mayre Nesslage, age 14, a lifelong resident of Belen, NM, joined our Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 3, 2005. Hannah was a Christian who loved the Lord. She was a 9th grade student at the Family School in Belen and was currently being home schooled. Hannah had a wonderful zest for life. She especially loved horses and when her parents bought her first horse "Julie" she went out and got Julie over to the wellhouse where she jumped on without a saddle or bridle. Her parents looked out the window and there she was riding around in the backyard. She would always go visit Julie even after they sold her. Her two pets, a cat named Oreo and a dog named Peaches were the love of her life. Hannah had so many aspirations and dreams that there are too many to mention. Her love for car racing, country music, rock & roll and Disney cartoons was contagious. She was helping her father build a street rod that was going to be ready to drag Main St. this summer. She was a loving daughter and sister and the fond memories that she created in her short life will never be forgotten. She loved Jesus and she could out pray anyone and when she prayed she thanked the Lord for everything she could think of even thanking the Lord for fleas. Hannah is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Lu Strandberg in 2003; and her maternal grandfather, Gilbert Phillips in 1994. She is survived by her loving parents, John and Robin Nesslage of Belen; two sisters, Rebecca Morgan and her husband, Adam Bland of Los Lunas, and Tracee of Belen; her two loving nephews, Lacen and Dalton Bland; maternal grandmother, Joyce Phillips; many aunts; uncles; and cousins; and two close family friends that she considered her grandparents, Al and Caroline Mruczek of Belen. Hannah will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2005 at Romero Funeral Home Chapel to be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
