Albert Ray Sr. Mr. Albert (Al ) Ray Sena Sr., 62, a native resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at his home. Al is the beloved husband to Mrs. Cecilia Sena, married for 30 years. He is also survived by his children, Albert Jr., Denise, Vivian, Eddy and wife, Natalie, Arnold and wife, Debra; six grandchildren, Renee, Nicole, Alicia, Andres, Nathaniel, and Crystal; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Dominique; brothers, Ernesto (Blue) Sena Jr. and wife, Irene, Tom Sena and wife, Penny; sisters, Mary Gallegos and husband, Paul, Carmen Ruiz and husband, Don, Esmenia Torres and husband, Dominic; sisters in law, Ronnette Shaffer, Jeanette Griego, and Olivia Gurule; many special nieces, nephews; most notable, Jacqueline Shaffer. Al was a member of the Catholic Church. He was born July 30, 1942 in Albuquerque to Ernesto and Josefita Sena Sr.; he was retired from the City of Albuquerque Transit Department, where he worked as a bus mechanic for 25 years. He was also a dedicated lifetime member of the Northwest Optimist Club, spending many nights ushering UNM Lobo games at the Pit. He was a faithful and regular volunteer at the Albuquerque Rescue Mission, where he helped serve food to the homeless. Al was also a member of the Westside Mustang Club. He owned an original 1968 green mustang fastback that he constantly showcased in almost every parade and car show in New Mexico. He was a dedicated volunteer to many different causes and was a friend to many. A visitation for Mr. Sena will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Briane Dennison. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Sena Jr., Eddy Sena, Ernesto (Blue) Sena Jr., Tom Sena, Anthony Motto, and Gary Motto. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd SW 243-7861
