Obituary for SACHS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Tuesday March 01, 2005

In Loving Memory Martin F. Sachs February 7, 1907 - March 1, 1999 Six years have come and gone, and even though I've accepted what I cannot change, the pain of losing you remains. I'll always love and miss you. I respected, trusted, and admired you. As far back as I can remember, you were always there for me, I could always count on you, and not once did you ever let me down. We shared a special relationship which I find great comfort in today. I'm most proud of the fact that we never had cross words between us. In the mid 1990s, I brought you home with me, keeping a promise I made to you years before. You were always of sound mind, yet you were tired and frail. You were always so grateful to Bob and I for taking you in. I felt I had been given an opportunity to give back a fraction of what you gave to me my whole life. I made sure I was there for you, for you expressed to me how you always knew you could count on me. In the end, knowing that you knew I never let you down, gave me the peace I enjoy today. I remain, your loving daughter, Angeline Sachs Velasquez
