Loris E. Ward, beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt passed away at home on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at age 79. She was born on January 28, 1926 to Carl and Pearl Wenk and was a life-long resident of Albuquerque. A loving, compassionate and selfless person, Loris leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Joe; her daughter, Jan Upshaw (Fred) of Las Cruces, NM; son, Carl (Bertha) of San Jose, CA; her brother, John Wenk (Grace) of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Eris Wenk. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Loris' life will be held at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Road SW, on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations in Loris' name be made to Odyssey Health Care of Albuquerque, 3500 Comanche Road NE 87107.
