Lela Idella Gruette, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1987, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2005. Lela was born November 15, 1916, the daughter of Thomas Clay and Lela Elizabeth Dickson Bills in Paris, TX. As a hobby she created beautiful china paintings. Lela was independent, diligent, and quite the handy-lady! She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lela is survived by four children, Bonita Taylor, Sibby McCullough, Richard Gruette, and Susan Dunning; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all those who's precious care of their mother, touched their lives. A Memorial Service will be held for Lela on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Chaplain Mary Trudell officiating.
