Obituary for CASEY

Dr. Donald J. Casey, Doctor of Chiropractic and a resident of Albuquerque for 54 years, died on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the age of 80. Dr. Casey was born on a farm in Marshfield, WI on December 2, 1924 and volunteered for WWII Army service in 1944. After returning from Europe, Donald received his degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO and practiced in Albuquerque for 50 years until retiring in 1998. Dr. Casey served as president of the New Mexico Chiropractic Association in 1958. He was dedicated to his profession and respected by many community leaders. Donald was a loving husband, father, and devoted grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin and his grandson, Sean. Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen (Lamb) Casey; his daughter, Kathleen; and son Dennis and his wife, Sally; and many nieces and nephews. "Papa" is also survived by his granddaughter, Heather; grandchildren, Shelley and Charlie; and great-grandchildren, Crystal, Felicia, and Anthony; and, of course, his "baby" Missy, the family Boston Terrier. A Memorial Mass was conducted Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in his name.
