Obituary for APODACA

Phillip A. Apodaca, 82, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away February 17, 2004, after a long illness. Phillip was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Lopez and brother, George Apodaca. Phillip is survived by his wife and companion, Dora Apodaca; his children, Elena Sedillo and husband, Edward, Cathy Moya and husband, Larry, Joe Apodaca, Mark Apodaca and wife, Christina; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Solomon, Gilbert, Bert, and Freddie. Pallbearers are his grandchildren: Tina Leyba, Michael Sedillo, Marciano Apodaca, Steven Moya, Adam Moya, Michelle Apodaca, and Armando Apodaca. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be recited Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Both are being held at Holy Family Church at 550 Atrisco Drive SW. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend the celebration of Phillip's life immediately following the services. Private interment of his cremated remains will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date in honor of his service during World War II.
