Shirley L. Peele, 68, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Tex LaVerne Peele; son, Will Grimmer and wife, Brenda; daughter, Renee LaVerne Peele, all of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Brenda Jefferson and husband, Bobby of Chesapeake, VA; brother-in-law, Fred Hartlove of Portsmouth, VA; and grandchildren, Adrienne Hurd and husband, Joe, Rachelle Grimmer, Alexis Peele, Ivana Peele, Elijah Spring, Caitlyn Hurd and Kyle Hurd. Shirley had worked at WalMart on Carlisle for the past 17 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time doing macram‚, crocheting, needlepoint, and preparing large meals for friends or family. She got great pleasure in giving her crafts away to others. Shirley was a very kind, considerate, generous, and giving person. She always put others' needs in front of her own. She loved her work, her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Friday, February 11, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Temple Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
