Obituary for MONTANO

Feliciano 1945-2005 Feliciano Montano, 59, a resident of Los Lunas passed away on Monday February 7, 2005. He was very involved with his grandchildren in everything they did and loved to take them traveling with him. He liked to go fishing, travel, and loved woodworking, but especially loved to gamble at the Casinos. Feliciano was a YAFL football coach for the Los Lunas Wildcats and his team affectionately referred to him as "Coach Grandpa." His mother, Antonia Montano preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving family, his wife who had the pleasure of his company for 39 years, Hilda Montano of the family home in Los Lunas; his sons, Philip Montano and his wife, Jackie of Tome, Roger Montano and his companion, Antoinette Trujillo of Los Lunas; his father, Bonnie Montano of Adelino; sister, Filomena Rigales of Las Cruces; his aunt, Rita Martinez and cousin, John Martinez of Adelino. He is also survived by his mother in law, Arcida Maez-McQuinn of Los Lunas; grandchildren, Mario, Zachary, Norene, and Carlos; fishing buddy, Harold Maez; nieces and nephews, Sonny Rigales, Luciano Rigales, and Antonia Rigales; and all of his loving family on the Maez side of the family. Visitation for Mr. Montano will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, February 10, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mario Montano, Zachary Montano, John Martinez, Philip Montano, Roger Montano, and Matthew Maez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Norene Montano, Carlos Montano, and Jim Paul Maez. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Home in Belen, 864-4448.
