Carmen T. Garcia, 80, of Albuquerque, passed away into the Lord's loving arms on Monday, February 7, 2005. Carmen was born on December 29, 1924 in Las Vegas, NM to Patricio and Adela Tapia. She is survived by her children: Carol Ladmirault, Polly Aragon, Nancy Torres, Esther (Toby) Gonzales, Richard (Florence) Garcia, John (Doris) Garcia, Donald (Marian) Garcia, Ismael Garcia, Jr., Tommy (Mary) Garcia, Rita Garcia, Sandra Dominguez, Rebecca Garcia, Angela Garcia, Bernadette (Anthony) Nevarez; her brothers: Matias Tapia and Pat Tapia; her sister, Madalena (Herbert) Perkins; 30 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Vigil, Marcos Bustamante, Andrew Gonzales, Joe Torres, Richard Garcia, John D. Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be the rest of her beloved Grandchildren. Mom was famous for the many tortillas she made. She loved yard sales and going to the casino. Her nickname was "Sunshine" while growing up and she was Sunshine until the end. She enjoyed her novellas and sitting outside in the sun. Visitations will be from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Garcia Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., also, on Thursday at Garcia Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2005 at San Felipe Catholic Church.
