Marcelina Aragon, born to Jesus and Maria de Los Angeles Lopez-Candelaria, left this life to join her husband, Louis (5-2-00), and family who preceded her. She came from one of the first families who settled in Alburquerque from Spain, and was an heir to the Atrisco Land Grant. She leaves a legacy of wisdom and faith to her surviving family: her daughter, Marcy Marquez and husband, Don; granddaughters, Jackie Patton and husband, Robert, Brandy Marquez; and her most cherished great-grandchildren, Bryon Luis, and Emily Patton, and Jacob Jude Louie Garcia. Also many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at San Jose Catholic Church, where she was a life long member serving as Eucharistic minister, lector, Legion of Mary, Sacred Heart League. Burial will be at San Jose de Armijo next to her beloved husband. Her father Jesus helped establish the Mission of San Jose which eventually became San Jose Parish. A day didn't pass that she did not pray and was never without her Rosary. Jesus was her priority and her strength. She was strong in her faith and proud of her heritage and ancestry. Pallbearers will be Gerald Chavez, Bobby Patton, Leo Candelaria, Phil Candelaria Jr., David Ruiz, and Richard Montoya. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
