Obituary for VAN WHY

Raymond Van Why, age 69, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005. Born in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, June 10, 1935, he came to New Mexico, White Sands Missile Range, during his Army service in 1955 and remained here with his life long love and wife Rebecca Rivera Van Why, until his death. Raymond is survived by his wife, Rebecca Van Why; his three sons, Raymond and his wife, Janet, Ronald and his wife, Shirley, Randall and his wife, Luz; grandchildren, Jennifer Benavidez, Ronald Charles Van Why and his wife, Valerie, Raymond Richard Van Why III and his wife, Jessica, Aubrey Tillotson, Randall Ross Van Why Jr., Roderick Reid Van Why and Alexandria Rebecca Van Why; great-grandchildren, Alexander Anthony Van Why, Allysa Rebecca Benavidez, Raymond Richard Van Why IV and Naiyah Monique Van Why. Ray retired after 26 years with IBM, and lived the latter years of his life on the Laguna Reservation with his wife of 49 years, Rebecca Rivera. A memorial service will be held at Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10750 Sunset Gardens SW., the corner of 114th and Central, on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., with Abner Razon officiating.
