Carl F. Engelke (Lt. Col. USAF Ret.) age 81, and a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years died Thursday, February 3, 2005 following an illness. He is survived by his wife, Ruth L. Engelke; daughter, Peggy Tillett of Missouri; sons, Fred Engelke and wife, Connie of Alabama, Frank Engelke of Rio Rancho; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Carl served in the United States Air Force for over 27 years, a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam; He also retired from KOB TV after 17 years of service. A Rosary will be recited Monday, February 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE . A Scripture Service will follow the rosary.
