Polo Chavez, 84, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2005. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Nica Pino Chavez; children, Jerri Davis, Paul (Leroy) Chavez; Stanley Chavez and wife, Shirley, Darlene Sanchez and husband, Gilbert, Ronnie Chavez and Beverly, and Genova Herrera and husband, Ray; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father. Mr. Chavez was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from the Grocery/Broker business. Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 6, 2005, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 7, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Chavez, Brandon Chavez, Cameron Chavez, Joaquin Chavez, Chester Sanchez, Bolie Pino, David Pino and Nicholas Chavez.
