Robin Hillemeyer Pfeiffer, 93, died January 31, 2005 in Chandler, AZ. Robin was born in Havana, IL on February 23, 1911 to Henry and Sarah (Roberts) Hillemeyer. She graduated from Draughns Business College in Peoria, IL. On April 20, 1930 she married Walter Morris Pfeiffer. They made their home in Chicago before moving to Corona, NM in July of 1931 to join the Robert's Mercantile Company started by Robin's Aunt, Dell Roberts, and Uncle, Ben Roberts. Robin was an integral part of the Corona community for over 70 years. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Corona Presbyterian Church. She was instrumental in starting the Corona Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Corona Cowbelles and the Corona Extension Club. After Roberts Mercantile closed, Robin became assistant postmaster for several years. Robin moved to Vista Del Rio Assisted Living in Albuquerque in 2001. In December 2004 she moved to Chandler, AZ to be near family and especially her only great-grandchild. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Stan Kimball of Lake City, CO and Gilbert, AZ; two granddaughters, Sara Kimball of Waco, TX and Sharon Kimball of Houston, TX; one grandson, Scott Kimball and wife, Melissa and great-grandson, Cole Walter of Chandler, AZ; sister-in-law, Edna Pfeiffer Goodrich of Albuquerque, NM; niece, Linda Goodrich of Denver, CO; and nephew Don Goodrich of Albuquerque; many cousins and countless friends. Funeral services will be held at the Corona Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Wesley Lackey and Reverend Terry Aellio officiating. Internment will follow at the Corona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corona Presbyterian Church.
