Ben Azure, age 70, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005. He is survived by one son, Matthew and wife, Carla; and nine grandchildren; two sisters, Merceline Grace and Rose Ann Weston and husband, John. He is also survived by his longtime loving companion, Carnation Armijo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Fred Azure; mother, Merceline; and brothers, Fred and Joe. He was a Navy Veteran (Korea), a lifetime member of VFW Post 401, American Legion Post 13, and D.A.V. Special thanks to nurse Joan and Dr. Sawyer from UNM Hospice and the Layman Family. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
