Julia A. DeAnda, age 79, joined Our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2005. Julia retired from the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School after 25 years of service. Her seven grandchildren were her pride and joy. Julia was the loving daughter of the late Dolores and Conception "Concha" DeAnda. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Elena and Catalina DeAnda; brother, Lorenzo DeAnda and his wife, Carmen B.; mother and father-in-law, Salomon and Emilia Perea; and her son-in-law, Roy S. Barela. Julia is survived by her three children, Ernesto Perea of Las Cruces, NM, Michael Perea and his wife, Eileen of Chickasha, OK, Carla Barela of Los Lunas, NM; grandchildren, Holly and her husband, Paul Thomson of Chickasha, OK, Patti and her husband, Greg Budwine of Colorado Springs, CO, Pam and her husband, Brian Burns of Grants, NM, Victoria Perea of Philadelphia, PA, Clifford Barela of Las Vegas, NV, Jonathan and Roy Barela of Los Lunas, NM; six great-grandchildren, Katelin, Paul Jr., and Jared Thomson of Chickasha, OK, Michael Budwine of Colorado Springs, CO, Duncan Burns of Grants, NM and Angel Serenity Barela of Los Lunas, NM; four sisters, Frances and her husband, Manuel Aragon of Peralta, Jessie and her husband, Albino Pino, Mattie Williams, and Ernestine and her husband, Eddie Giron all of Los Lunas; two brothers, Eddie DeAnda and his wife, Jenny of Belen, NM, Preciliano and his wife, Berna of Los Lunas; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins; and ex-husband, Salomon Perea of El Paso, TX. Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Romero Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a viewing at 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at San Clemente Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clifford, Jonathan, and Roy Barela, Ron Hubbell, Gerald Garcia, Fernando Aragon, and George DeAnda. Honorary pallbearers will be David DeAnda, Matthew Brant, Charles Griego, Kenneth Giron, and Richard Maddox. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
