Maureen Gilmore Nye, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, January 24, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Francis W. Nye; children, David M. Gilmore and wife, Carol of Albuquerque, Robert G. Gilmore and wife, Elizabeth of Fresno, CA, Rita Ingram of Fresno, CA, John M. Gilmore and fiance, Leslie Umphrey of Albuquerque, and Joe E. Gilmore of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Megan Little and husband, Gary, Ryan, and Lauren Gilmore of Albuquerque, Yvonne Vogt and husband, Jeff, Michelle and Kathryn Gilmore of Fresno, CA, Christopher Ingram and wife, Erin and Amanda Ingram of Fresno, CA, Katherine Mosley and husband, Brandon, David and Steven Gilmore of Albuquerque, and Brandon, Cameron and Alexandra Gilmore of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Joel Vogt and Sean Little; brother, Joseph Heneberry and wife, Nancy of St. Louis, MO; step-children, Cynthia Nye of Albuquerque, Dr. Patricia Nye of Tucson, AZ and Janet Olson and husband, Ronald of Tucson, AZ; and step-grandchildren, David, Daniel and Patricia Olson, all of Tucson, AZ. Maureen was preceded in death by her first husband, David I. Gilmore, in 1980, her sister, Dorothy Heneberry, and her brother, Gene Heneberry. She was born in Bethany, Illinois. Maureen was a member of the Sangre de Cristo Catholic Community, the Tanoan Country Club Women's Golf Association, the Albuquerque Country Club Women's Golf Association and several senior golf associations. She was a past-president of the Albuquerque Jaycee Wives Club and the Navy Mothers of America Club and a past-member of the Widowed Persons Service. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 26, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 27, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Community, 8901 Candelaria NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to Rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of NM, 216 Truman NE, 87108.
