Robert G., born October 26, 1928 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, went to be with the Lord January 20, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joy Oakley; three children, Gary Oakley of Helena, MT, Madeline Clive and husband, Ken of Minneapolis, MN, and Richard Oakley and wife, Vickie of Novi, MI; one sister, Joyce Casey and husband, Carrol of Glen Elder, KS; and five grandchildren, Sharon Oakley Jones, Sonja Clive, Christina, Laura, and Nicholas Oakley. Bob grew up on a Kansas farm and had all of the values associated with that time and place: hard work and love of country, home, family and church. He had a quirky sense of humor and a generous nature, always willing to help someone in need. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place. There is no memorial service planned at this time. Contributions in Bob's memory can be made to either the Temple Baptist missionary fund or the American Heart Association.
