Obituary for LEWIS

Katherine Rose Lewis, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, January 17, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Brown and husband, James of Los Lunas; son, Richard Lewis and wife, Celeste of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brian Lewis, Ryan Dudley, Zachary Dudley, and Joshua Brown; sisters-in-law, Anne McMahon-Piro of Lansing, KS, Frances McMahon of Kansas City, KS, and Janice Lewis of Wichita, KS; brother-in-law, Walter Lewis and wife, Shirley of Tonganoxie, KS; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne B. Lewis in 1997. She was a charter member of the Sanado Women's Club and participated in the quilting group, the book readers group, and the cooking group. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose grandchildren were the light of her life. The family would like to especially thank the caregivers at Marler Manor and Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate and loving care for Katherine. Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 21, 2005 at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to service.
