Obituary for BROWN

James Brewster Brown, born on Febuary 24, 1922, died on January 10, 2005. He first came to New Mexico in the late 1940s and decided that this was where he wanted to raise his family. He went back to Texas and married Nancy Ann Wallace. They moved to NM in the early 1950s and had been here since. He was a part-time rancher and also a Merchant Marine engineer for many years. He is survived by his children: daughter, Melinda Massey of Pena Blanca, son, Rusty Brown of Moriarty, and Wes Brown of Estancia; as well as grandchildren, Melvin and Julie Brown of Edgewood, Yolanda Merrit of Los Angeles, Yvette DeFrance of Australia, Ethan Brown of Albuquerque, Joseph Higginbotham of Texas, and James Joshua Hall of West Point, NY. There will be a memorial service at Noon, Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the Assembly of God Church on Loring Street in Estancia, NM.
