Carlos (Charlie) Santillanes, born August 7, 1927, went to God's Glory to be with his wife, Euphalia, on January 13, 2005. His devotion and faith to our Lord has helped to comfort those he has left behind: his children, Frances, Louis Sandoval, Herman, Frances Santillanes, Lorraine, Sam Rivera, Sam, Treva Santillanes, and Theresa Apodaca; his grandchildren, whom he thought the world of: Louis-Patrick, Sonya, and Chastity Sandoval, Sharon and Chris Chavez, and Raul Santillanes, Jesse, Andrea Rivera, Tanya, Louis Casias, Matthew, Heather Santillanes, Juan, Krystal Santillanes, Sammy, Eloisa Santillanes, and Michael Apodaca; his great-grandchildren who he loved and prayed for daily: Josiah, Stephen, Cheyenne, and Xavier Sandoval, Janelle, Dyan, Christopher, Justine Chavez, Audrey, Andriana Gonzales, Jesse Jr., Elena, Elizabeth Rivera, Kimberly Gordon, Rose La Master, Danielle, Emily Santillanes, Sam, and David Santillanes. He has also left behind, in prayers his brother and wife, Ruben and Jenny Santillanes; his sisters, Angie and husband, Dennis Ott, and Mary Jane Gutierrez; and many loving friends, neighbors, and extended family. Services for Carlos will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Bernalillo, with a Rosary on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
