Robert H. Dickie passed away on December 30, 2004. He was born in Oxford, Maine on May 8, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Dickie. He is survived by his wife, Lois A. Dickie of Los Lunas; son, Dean and daughter, Jeanette Dickie of Humble, Texas; mother, Maria Dickie of Bridgton, Maine; mother in law, Regina Muller; brother and sister in law, Michael and Nancy Muller; nephews, Jacob and Lucas Muller; stepsons, Eric and Bryan Kirmer; grandchildren, Angelica and Jonathan Kirmer, all of Albuquerque, NM. Robert's boyhood hobby of rock collecting turned into a lifelong passion. He is an avid mineral collector and has many of his specimens in many national museums. Robert has many friends in the mineral world from around the globe and always enjoyed sharing stories of great discoveries. Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved fly-fishing and has enjoyed fighting salmon in Alaska, Wahoo in Hawaii, and trout in the San Juan. His spiritual place was the Gila, where he fished, hiked, and gazed at the stars. He loved his "girls," Labradors, Violet, Gila, and Bracken, his constant companions who never tired of playing fetch. Robert retired from Presbyterian Hospital after 24 years in the Telecom department. He has many friends and co-workers who will miss his quick humor and smile. Cremation has taken place. A remembrance service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 11:00 am at East Gate Church, 12120 Copper Ave NE. May the skies be filled with ducks and the rivers full of trout. You are now in a better place with your beloved Chaser and Brandy. I will miss you deeply and will always cherish our time together, your wife, Lois.
