Juan Antonio (Tony) Lopez, 91, a longtime resident of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2004, in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Ninfa; daughter, Beverly (Bev) Lopez and husband, Joseph Buday; granddaughters, Areth and Callan, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family throughout the west. Tony was born on February 8, 1913, in Holbrook, AZ. He was a World War II veteran, stationed at Luke Field, AZ and Deming Air Field, New Mexico. After the war, he moved to Las Cruces to start a new life with his wife, Ninfa. Tony will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and strong loving spirit, always putting others before him. He was known for his wonderful wit, great sense of humor, and story telling skills. Services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
