Obituary for CHAVEZ

Jerry M. Chavez (50) passed away suddenly on December 28, 2004. He is survived by his sister, Linda Sanchez, of Los Lunas; 2 brothers, Benigno Chavez Jr.and wife Diane of Albuquerque, Paul Chavez and wife Maxine of Albuquerque. He had two nephews, Dylan Chavez of Boston MA and Curtis Chavez of Albuquerque; and two nieces, Crystal Chavez of Hilo, HA and Devin Chavez of Albuquerque. He is survived by his step-daughter, Bernadette Parra. He was also survived by his girlfriend, Delia Sanchez; and his many friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Benigno and Frances Chavez of Albuquerque and by his hunting buddy, Mike Chavez. Jerry was born on September 29, 1954 in Belen, NM. He grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Del Norte High School. He had been employed at Sandia Casino as a MIS Specialist for over 5 years. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He especially enjoyed bow hunting because of the high level of skill required. Because of his skill, there must be many game animals that are sleeping easier tonight. He had many friends that shared his love for the outdoors and they will all treasure their memories of their hunting trips together. Jerry was a hardworking man of many skills and had a sharp sense of humor that will be missed. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, at 4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral home at 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE.
